FAQ

Common Questions

What is TideSwell?
TideSwell is a real-time tide visualization tool covering every US coastline. It lets you see tides rising and falling across 300+ NOAA stations, layered over detailed nautical depth charts — all in a clean, easy-to-use map.
How do I get full access?
Full access is a one-time purchase. It unlocks all 10 regional maps covering every US coastline — over 300 tide stations total. Click "Get Full Access" to purchase through our secure checkout. You'll receive an email to create your account right after.
How do I sign in after purchasing?
After checkout you'll receive an email with a link to set up your TideSwell account. Once your account is created, sign in at any time using the Sign In button at the top of the page. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.
Can I add TideSwell to my phone like an app?
Yes! TideSwell works as a full app on your home screen — no app store required.
  1. iPhone (Safari): Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, then tap "Add to Home Screen."
  2. Android (Chrome): Tap the three-dot menu in the top right, then tap "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App."
Once added, TideSwell opens full-screen just like a native app.
Where does the tide data come from?
All tide data is sourced directly from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) in real time. TideSwell displays that data visually so it's easier to read and explore than NOAA's own tools.
Does it work on all devices?
Yes. TideSwell works on phones, tablets, and desktop computers. It's optimized for mobile so it feels great on any screen size.
